Register Now for RCD Nexus Day at PEARC25!

Registration is now open for the fourth annual RCD Nexus Day, a one-day workshop and networking event for research computing and data (RCD) professionals on Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM preceding the PEARC25 Conference in Columbus, Ohio. RCD Nexus Day is an official PEARC co-located event with no additional cost to attend. A limited amount of travel support will be available for attendees who could not otherwise attend the PEARC25 conference.

Small Team, Big Impact: UC Merced’s Research Computing Journey

Located in California’s Central Valley, the University of California, Merced is the newest campus in the UC system and is rapidly growing toward R1 research status. CaRCC spoke with Sarvani Chadalapaka, Director of Cyber Infrastructure and Research Technologies (CIRT) at UC Merced, to learn how her team supports computational research while making HPC accessible to a diverse student population.

The CaRRC Mentoring Working Group is seeking new members to help create guidelines and processes for mentors, mentees, and mentorship activities, aiming to establish an RCD community wide mentorship program. If you have a passion for mentorship and want to contribute, we invite you to join us. Please email workforce-mentoring-wg@carcc.org to become a part of this group and you are welcome to join our monthly calls held on the first Thursday of each month at 10am PT, 11am MT, 12pm CT, and 1pm ET. Our next call will be on April 3!
