NAIRR 2026 Annual Meeting: Final Report & Proceedings Now Available
The National AI Research Resource (NAIRR) is a shared national infrastructure designed to broaden access to the computational resources, data, and tools needed to advance AI research and education across the United States.
The final report and proceedings from the 2026 NAIRR Pilot Annual Meeting — held March 10–13 in Arlington, Virginia — are now available.
Organized by Internet2, the Annual Meeting brought together researchers, resource providers, and national infrastructure stakeholders to take stock of the Pilot’s progress and chart priorities for the road ahead. The final report captures key outcomes, themes, and discussions from across the event, while the proceedings offer a fuller record of presentations and sessions.

The Human Side of Data: Building a Legacy of Academic Technology and Research Support at Carleton College
Carleton College is a small private liberal arts college in Northfield, Minnesota known for its rigorous academic environment and collaborative spirit. With approximately 2100 students, Carleton has a deep commitment to undergraduate research, and has long navigated the unique challenge of providing high-level technical support within a small-scale setting. CaRCC spoke with Paula Lackie, Academic Technologist for Data at Carleton College, to learn how a 1991 “faculty revolution” paved the way for a human-centered approach to research computing and data that continues to empower students and faculty today.
