Goals and Objectives
The Research Cybersecurity Interest Group (RCsIG) will discuss and develop ideas, activities, and recommended practices for action at the intersection of Research Computing and Data (RCD) Facilitation and Research Cybersecurity, with emphasis on blending populations of RCD professionals and cybersecurity professionals working in research environments.
Save the Date: RCsIG 2025 Kick-off Meeting
Thursday March 27, 2025 11:00am- 12:00pm PDT (2:00 – 3:00pm EDT)
Co-chairs Cyd, Will and Jeff will host our first meeting for 2025. After introductions and a short refresher on RCsIG’s motivations and goals, Will Drake will give a presentation on Indiana University’s SecureMyResearch program, which is a model for other universities who wish to empower their researchers to secure their non-CUI data. We’ll follow that presentation with a roundtable discussion of topics of interest.

RCsIG meetings will be held monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month from March (with time off for the holidays).
