Systems-Facing Track – Software Installation Strategies Panel

This panel explores strategies for deciding what software gets installed centrally versus what researchers should install themselves, and when containers are preferred over modules. The session will feature a discussion among experienced practitioners sharing insights from their institutions. Topics include policy, process, researcher experience, and practical advice for balancing flexibility and maintainability in complex environments.
