Title: AI assisted coding tools in Research Computing
Speaker: Brad Rittenhouse, PhD, Research Computing Consultant, Stanford Research Computing
Abstract: AI assisted coding tools are rapidly becoming part of everyday research workflows, but research computing groups are still determining how best to support them on centralized HPC systems. In this session, we will explore how Stanford is approaching the setup, delivery, and user support of AI coding tools—ranging from full AI IDEs (e.g., Cursor GUI) to command line agents such as cursor cli, llama, and gemini cli.
