SUMMARY:Data-Facing Track\, Feb 2026
DESCRIPTION:Following the accelerated usage of AI tools in multiple domains\, the curation of research data to be “AI-ready” became essential. “AI-ready” data is imperative if researchers seek to derive the most value from their organization’s AI efforts. In this discussion\, we focus on what AI-ready data is\, how researchers can achieve it\, how it differs from traditional data preparation\, and what data-management practices one should employ to manage AI-ready data. We will also highlight related learning resources and RCD considerations that should be taken into account while preparing AI-ready data\, part of the in-progress work by CaRCC’s AI Facilitation Materials working group. \nPresentation and group discussion\, with community members:\nManasvita Joshi\, Director for Data Science and Research Facilitation\,\nFaculty of Arts and Sciences Research Computing (FASRC)\, Harvard\nUniversity\nSarah Marchese\, Research Data Manager\, Faculty of Arts and Sciences\nResearch Computing (FASRC)\, Harvard University \nSee CaRCC and Track email communications and/or the CaRCC calendar for connection details: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0?cid=Y19jNGUwNTg1ZWI2MDllZGE4YmM0YWQzNjYwZTdiYmMwNzM2YTQyYzQxOTA1ODlhN2RkOTRmODRmMTU4ZjcwYWVjQGdyb3VwLmNhbGVuZGFyLmdvb2dsZS5jb20

SUMMARY:Researcher-facing Track - February 2026
DESCRIPTION:Title: AI assisted coding tools in Research Computing \nSpeaker: Brad Rittenhouse\, PhD\, Research Computing Consultant\, Stanford Research Computing \nAbstract: AI assisted coding tools are rapidly becoming part of everyday research workflows\, but research computing groups are still determining how best to support them on centralized HPC systems. In this session\, we will explore how Stanford is approaching the setup\, delivery\, and user support of AI coding tools—ranging from full AI IDEs (e.g.\, Cursor GUI) to command line agents such as cursor cli\, llama\, and gemini cli. Please join us share your experiences supporting \n2nd Thursdays of Each Month\n1p ET/ 12p CT/ 11a MT/ 10a PT/ 8a HT
