In this presentation\, we introduce Platform X\, the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health’s secure data enclave. We will discuss how we address the unique challenges of long-running research platforms – including automated security governance\, cost-optimization in the cloud\, and maintaining a seamless user experience – while ensuring the environment remains a continuously available service for the researchers who depend on it.
